Skill Level

This tournament is aimed at:

- Ambitious recreational players

- Around B3 beginner level (+/-)

- If you're familiar with the basics of building up a rally and can consistently return simple balls, you're exactly the kind of player we're looking for.

Tournament Format

- 16 teams divided into 4 groups of 4

- 2 vs. 2 Mixed Beach Volleyball

- 2 sets per match

- Each set starts at 6:6 and is played to 21 points

- No third set

- The top two teams from each group advance to the quarterfinals.

Quarterfinals

- Best of 3 sets

- Sets 1 & 2: Start at 6:6, played to 21 points

- Set 3 (if needed): Starts at 3:3, played to 15 points

Semifinals

- Same format as the quarterfinals

Final & Third-Place Match

- Best of 3 sets

- Sets 1 & 2: Start at 0:0, played to 21 points

- Set 3 (if needed): Starts at 0:0, played to 15 points

Tournament format may be adjusted depending on the number of registered teams.

Scoring

A set is won by reaching the required number of points with a minimum lead of 2 points.

Before each match, a coin toss (or ball draw) determines which team chooses either:

- the side of the court, or

- the first serve.

Food & Drinks

We'll provide a few snacks during the day. Please bring your own food and drinks if you'd like anything more substantial.

Cancellations

If you're unable to participate at short notice due to illness, injury, or a family emergency, we'll gladly refund your entry fee.

If you need to withdraw for any other reason, we'd greatly appreciate it if you could find a replacement team. In this case, entry fees are non-refundable.
